La Villa French Restaurant

La Villa holds the #1 ranking on TripAdvisor, and is touted as the best place for fine French dining in town.

Located in Thao Dien (D2), La Villa really is "a villa" - Walk into the premises and you'll find yourself amidst trees and an outdoor swimming pool, in front of a colonial mansion.

As if the chef and his wife were inviting you into their home - the indoor atmosphere is quiet and almost romantic. The tables are widely spaced, so it really does have a "homey" feel. The French chef comes out midway through the meal to make sure everything is splendid.

La Creperie

Located on Le Thanh Ton Street (in "Little Japan" town), near the intersection of Thai Van Lung Street, sits a cute lighthouse-themed crepe house.

Not to be confused with other similar named "Creperie" restaurants in the area, La Creperie is by far the best in making delicious, awesome looking crepes that can be eaten at any meal.

My favorite is the simple breakfasty crepe with ham, egg sunny side up, [cheese], and side salad (aka Le Complete) - Perfect for a weekend brunch!

There are many other filling options for salty crepes that are more substantial, such as with ground beef or smoked salmon, and even non-crepe dishes such as pasta and seafood - oysters and mussels are common specials. If you're a fan of apple cider, there's plenty here.

One crepe usually isn't enough, because the dessert crepes are even better! I recommend anything with the salted butter caramel syrup - it will melt in your mouth.
